ALBERT’S FINISH PERFECT 7-0 REGULAR SEASON – BEGINS THREE-PEAT QUEST

SportsALBERT’S FINISH PERFECT 7-0 REGULAR SEASON - BEGINS THREE-PEAT QUEST
This past weekend, two-time defending champs Albert’s wrapped up another successful regular season as they knocked off Old Technical Rebels by the score of 67-55. With the win, they put the finishing touches on a perfect 7-0 record. The game, for all intents and purposes, was played basically for bragging rights, as both teams prior to the game had already secured byes throughout the first round of the playoffs. In any event, the game had to be played, and Lloyd Leslie led all scorers, totaling 22 pts 7 rebs in the win, while Kano Green led Old Technical with 17 pts 10 rebs. Other teams that secured post season play include BWS Bulls, who, despite suffering a 78-64 loss on Sunday to Belmopan, will see action in first round play this coming Sunday afternoon against Classic Purex, who enter the playoffs as the #3 seeded team, following their 56-54 win over Maria Chang. In the other playoff bracket, it will be #4 seeded Old Cemetery facing #5 seeded Belmopan. The former enters the playoffs on a high note, following a huge 70-59 win over Orange Walk Runnin Rebels. On the other hand, Belmopan understandably are ecstatic to be in the playoffs despite having only won two games out of a possible seven during the regular season.
