A new sports group, the Allied Sports Club, whose representatives appeared this morning on the Krem WUB morning show, say they are holding a track meet this Saturday, September 7, at the new synthetic track at the Marion Jones Sporting Complex. Renowned Belizean sprinter Jaheed Smith, along with Paul Staine and Daland Jones, say that registration for participation in the meet is free for all athletes, and they will be arranging bus transportation to and from the event. The meet will have events in three different age categories – Junior B (15-17 yrs), Junior A (18-19 yrs), and Open (20+ yrs).

The day begins with the 1500m at 8:00 a.m. (check in time is 7:30 a.m.) for all age groups.

Check in time for the 400m is 8:30 a.m.

Official opening ceremonies then follow at 9:00 a.m.

A full schedule of track events for all the age categories then fill the rest of the day as follows:

9:30 a.m. – 400m heats; check-in time for 100m heats.

10:30 a.m. – 100m heats; check-in time for 800m heats.

11:30 a.m. – 800m heats; check-in time for 200m heats.

12:30 p.m. – 200m heats.

1:00 p.m. – check-in time for 400m finals; 1:30 p.m. – 400m finals.

2:00 p.m. – check-in time for 100m finals; 2:30 p.m. – 100m finals.

3:00 p.m. – check-in time for 800m finals; 3:30 p.m. – 800m finals.

4:00 p.m. – check-in time for 200m finals; 4:30 p.m. – 400m finals.

5:30 p.m. – 4x100m relay finals.
