Yet another report has been made by a foreigner claiming to be swindled by one of our own.
Stan Pore, 48, an American with ties to Belize, reported that one Oscar D. Romero of Belize Land Properties made an agreement with him since February to purchase four parcels of land, 100 acres each, in the village of Carmelita in the Orange Walk District.
Romero, who lives in Kings Park, according to Pore, signed a written contract with him, and he paid $137,000 for the land, but got nothing in return.
According to Pore, he found out that the land in question had not been purchased and Romero has since vanished with his money.
Police are looking for Romero as their investigation continues.
