BELMOPAN, Thurs. Nov. 5, 2015–The Belmopan Football Association (BFA) 1st Division Tournament had the second leg in the best-of-2 games semifinal series on Sunday, November 1, at the Las Flores Community football field. In the opener, Duck Run II bombed Las Flores FC, 6-1, with goals from Rony Martinez (1’, 27’ & 42’), Cristian Lima (31’), Erick Guerra (63’) and Raul Leonardo (70’); while Samuel Menjivar (72’) got the sole tally for Las Flores. (Duck Run II had also won their first meeting by a 5-3 score, so their aggregate victory margin was 11-4.) And in the nightcap, it was Roaring Creek United, 4-2, over Camalote Warriors. Shaking the net for Roaring Creek were Cliffbarn Neal (22’), Kenny Williams (25’ & 54’) and Avory Galvez (85’); while Kyle Thomas (36’ & 78’) scored both goals for Camalote. (Camalote Warriors had won, 2-1, in their previous meeting; so Roaring Creek prevailed in the aggregate total by a 5-4 margin.)

Duck Run II and Roaring Creek United will therefore advance to the best-of-2 games championship finals series, which begins with game 1 this Sunday at the FFB football field.

3:00 p.m. – Roaring Creek United vs Duck Run II – FFB Football Field

Third Place, between Las Flores FC and Camalote Warriors, will be determined by one game only, and this game will be played next week as a preliminary to game 2 of the championship series.
