GeneralBNTU’s OW branch president’s vehicle windshield smashed

ORANGE WALK TOWN, Orange Walk District, Thurs. Oct. 13, 2016–Hon. Patrick Faber, the Minister of Education and Deputy Prime Minister of Belize, reported to Ladyville police that his Mazda CX7 SUV was torched by an arsonist sometime after midnight on Wednesday morning.

The incident was caught on camera and the perpetrator’s face was revealed.

However, hours later, the windshield of the vehicle of Orange Walk BNTU (Belize National Teachers’ Union) branch president Otilio Muñoz was smashed.

Unfortunately, it occurred sometime around 3 a.m. on Thursday while Muñoz slept in his home.

He has since filed a police report, but investigations are challenging, as the matter was not caught on camera.

Further details are sketchy at this time, but Amandala will continue to monitor the situation for new developments.
