Burglary in Altamira, Corozal

Police have launched an investigation into the burglary of the Bel Cuisine storeroom in Altamira, Corozal, in which thieves got away with $1,950 in goods.

The incident occurred sometime between 2:00 Saturday evening and 7:00 Monday morning. The restaurant owner, Guadalupe Sosa, 44, of Altamira, told police that she closed her business on Saturday evening, and on her return Monday morning, she found that the storeroom had been broken into. She found that the thief or thieves had gained entry to the building by forcing open a glass door situated northeast of the building.

Sosa found that a water pump valued at $1,800 and a jack valued at $150 – together totaling $1,950 in value — were missing.
