Community leaders should take lead against Charlie Charlie Challenge

LettersCommunity leaders should take lead against Charlie Charlie Challenge

Dear Editor,

I wish to comment on the current “Charlie Charlie Challenge” issue.

Teens, to a large extent, are responsible for their actions, but this is only one side of the coin. The reality is that parents are the responsible ones who should control what their children are doing. Although schools are doing what’s necessary and are banning the playing of this game, students continue to play the game.

Parents should take the time to know what their children are doing at home or at school. What I have seen is that children continue playing this demonic game. Presentations should be delivered to students at their respective high schools. The topic to address is why this game is demonic and only brings bad consequences.

Community leaders should take action on this issue because often people see them as role models. They have more influence on the community and by addressing the issue, they will get the teens’ attention. This is to be done because the situation can get out of hand.
