SAN PEDRO–Police in San Pedro are searching for a 25-year-old man in connection with the rape of a 15-year-old girl that occurred at about 3:30 Saturday afternoon in a boat that was docked at the Boca Del Rio docks in San Pedro.
The girl told police that she was riding her bicycle to a grocery store in the Boca Del Rio area, and while crossing the bridge, she met the man who she has known for about a month. He invited her to show her his boat that was parked in the docks.
The girl said that she went onto the boat and the man grabbed her and raped her. At the end of the ordeal, the girl went to the police and made a report.
She was then taken by police to the San Pedro Poly Clinic, where a doctor who examined her certified that she has been raped.
Police are looking for the rapist.
