Gunmen “riddle” family house

GeneralGunmen “riddle” family house
A two-flat concrete house on Albert Hoy Street in the Belama 3 Area has been damaged by gunshots. At least 12 shots were fired; 11 of the shots went through the walls and windows of the house, but no one who was inside, miraculously, was hit or injured.

Juanita Lopez, the house owner, told the media that she and her three children were at home on Albert Hoy Street in the Belama Phase 3 area watching the 10:00 p.m. television news on Tuesday, April 17, when around 10:15, she heard gunshots. She immediately took cover on the floor, and then a barrage of shots was fired.

When the shooting ceased, she went out to see what had happened, and that was when she saw that her house was riddled with bullet holes, and some items were damaged. She said that “11 bullet holes were in the house, some of them went through the window, and damage her bedroom wall, and her two daughters’ bedroom walls. Slugs also went through some walls and landed in her son’s room

Police have since launched an investigation, but so far no one has been arrested.

Lopez is at a loss to understand why her house was shot up by the gunmen.

She has three children, the youngest 17 and the oldest 25.
