Marlon “Figit Bird” Jones walks from April aggravated assault

CrimeMarlon “Figit Bird” Jones walks from April aggravated assault
For lack of prosecution, Marlon “Figit Bird” Jones, 21, a fisherman of San Pedro Town, was today released from a single charge of aggravated assault.

Jones had been accused of shooting at Ladrick Bell and a group of his friends near a house in the Port Loyola area in late April.

This morning in #6 Magistrate’s Court, Jones was let go by Magistrate Sharon Frazier after the police prosecutor indicated that prosecution of the case would not continue for lack of evidence.

On April 30, Bell, 23, was with a friend, Orvin Wade, at Wade’s house on Ross Pen Road when a shooter, alleged to have been Jones, opened fire on them around 8:30 p.m. Wade was shot in the back and right leg; Bell and the remainder of the group escaped unhurt.
