BELIZE CITY, Mon. Mar. 27, 2017–Week 2 games were played over the weekend in the National Amateur Women’s League. In the first of 3 Saturday games, at the Carl Ramos Stadium in Dangriga, Nykemah Kuylen had a hat trick (19’, 54’ & 93’), to lead Griga Pumas to a 3-2 win over visiting Toledo Strikers, who got a goal each from Silvia Pan (41’) and Zulma Ortega (55’). Meanwhile, at the Santa Elena Sporting Complex, it was Gentle Touch and visiting Gladiators FC playing to a 1-1 draw. Julie Ponce (3’) struck first for Gentle Touch, but Karen Garcia (35’) equalized for the Gladiators. And at the MCC Grounds on Saturday night, it was Belize City FC, 1-0, over visiting Calcutta Strikers, on a goal by Janelle Gentle (32’).

The only Sunday game was at the FFB Stadium, where home standing Jewel Fury dropped Sagitun Strikers from Independence, 2-1, with goals from Iris Centeno (17’) and Jenniha Scott (55’). Sagitun’s sole tally was by Erica Vallecillo (5’)
