BELIZE CITY, Wed. Sept. 16, 2015–On a visit home for the September celebrations is Belizean Sammy Gentle, who played for Belize City 1976-77 football champions, White Label, after being our teammate on Diamond-A and Charger football teams in the early to mid-1970s.  Sammy presently owns an accounting business in New York, and says he plans to sponsor a primary school football tournament in Belize City.

  He thinks that is the best place to start, as he is not satisfied with the quality of football he has seen from the Belize Jaguars in recent World Cup Qualifiers.

   Sammy arrived on the 9th and expects to return to New York after the Independence Day celebrations.
