K & N U-12 football

In K & N U-12 Football Tournament games played at the Barracks on Saturday, November 1, Belize drew, 2-2, with Elite Promos. Elvis Cabral and Albert Burns, Jr. shook the net for Belize, while Jordi Espejo and Daniel Grijalva netted for Elite Promos. Then Trial Farm dropped Young Strikers, 1-nil, on a goal by Kevin Matute. And in the last game of the day, Real Madrid clipped Yo Creek by a 2-1 margin.

O.W. Town Council Female 9-A-Side

The Orange Walk Town Council Female 9-A-Side football tournament is also taking place at the Barracks in Orange Walk with 4 teams participating, namely Guinea Grass, Chan Pine Ridge, Carmelita and Stadium Street Road Runners. They are competing in a home-and-away series for a first prize of $500.00, 2nd prize $300.00, and 3rd $100.00.
In game 1 yesterday, November 2, Guinea Grass blanked Chan Pine Ridge, 4-0, with 3 goals from Giselle Baeza and the other from Marie Pott. And in game 2, which went to penalties, it was Carmelita, 3-1, over Stadium Street Road Runners. Alicia Rivas, Cristina Cuellar and Angelica Arisia scored for Carmelita; while Roselie Torres got the sole tally for the Road Runners.

U-17 football

In U-17 football games at Yo Creek yesterday, November 2, L.A. United won, 2-1, over San Estevan FC; Black Water All Star prevailed, 2-1, over Yo Creek; and Guinea Grass South Warriors also gained a 2-1 victory over San Lazaro Young Stars.

Wednesday semipro football in O.W.

There will be a Grand Semipro Football game at the People’s Stadium on Wednesday, November 5, at 7:30 p.m. between undefeated Verdes and FC Belize, fresh off a 1-0 win over Wagiya of Stann Creek at the Carl Ramos Stadium on Sunday, where Christopher Hendricks scored on a first half header. Come out and see players such as Christopher Hendricks, Oliver “Lionheart” Hendricks, Aldair “Chap” Chan, Eliazar “Toto” Itza, Ian Chi, Marlon Miranda and goalkeeper German Grajalez. Entrance – $7.00; Kids Under 12 – FREE.

Female Softball Finals

The O.W. Female Softball Finals between Carmelita Caribbean Queen and Jadas will be played on Sunday, November 9, at a neutral venue, not the People’s Stadium. The venue will be announced shortly.
