Sexual abuse reported at Immigration Department’s Northern Border Station

GeneralSexual abuse reported at Immigration Department’s Northern Border Station

COROZAL TOWN, Mon. Nov. 27, 2017–Two weeks ago we reported on the matter of three police officers from the Independence Police Formation who were accused of raping two women who were in their custody.
Today, there is another very serious allegation of sexual abuse coming out of another governmental institution.

Amandala has been reliably informed that a senior male Immigration officer of over two decades, who is attached to the Northern Border Station, has been accused by a junior female Immigration officer of grave sexual misconduct.

Information to Amandala is that two weeks ago the two were working the night shift at the northern border when the incident occurred.

We are told that the junior officer reported the matter to her superiors at the Immigration Department and recently, she reported the matter to police.

Today, Amandala contacted the Director of the Immigration Department, Diana Locke. However, she explained that she was in a meeting and would have to return our call. She has not yet done so.

We also contacted the Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Immigration, Edmund Zuniga. However, he has not yet responded.
