Smart Mundialito 13 & Under Football

SportsSmart Mundialito 13 & Under Football

BELIZE CITY, Mon. Apr. 18, 2016–The 5th Annual Smart Mundialito 13 & under Football Tournament 2016, got under way on Saturday, April 16, with Week 1 games at the MCC Grounds, where 10 of the 11 participating teams saw action.

In game 1, defending champion Brown Bombers and sub-champion Young Warriors played to a nil-nil stalemate.

Game 2 saw Hattieville Riverside Boys getting the 2-nil win over Collet Strikers, both goals being scored by Jaheed Baptist.

In game 3, it was City Boys over Ladyville Jaguars, 3-0. Shaking the net for City Boys were Barbel Gonzalez, Devin Thurton and Rashid Lord with 1 goal apiece.

Game 4 was a 1-nil affair, as Steven Rivera got the only goal of the game, to give Ladyville Rising Stars the victory over Heights FC.

And game 5 was another 1-nil shutout, as Carlston FC got the win over Reality Youths with a goal, from Shane Pratt.

Upcoming Week 2 schedule:
Saturday, April 23
10:00 a.m. – Reality Youths vs Face of Belize
11:00 a.m. – Collet Strikers vs Ladyville Jaguars
12:00 noon – City Boys vs Ladyville Rising Stars
1:00 p.m. – Heights FC vs Carlston FC
2:00 p.m. – Young Warriors vs Hattieville Riverside Boys
