BELMOPAN, Mon. Nov. 27, 2017–The 1st round in the best-of-2 games semifinals of the Belmopan Football Association’s (BFA) Hon. John Saldivar Kids, Youth and Female Cup Late Tournament 2017 took place on Saturday and Sunday, November 25-26, at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium. Two semifinal games each were played in the U-13 and U-15 categories on Saturday; and the two U-17 semifinals were played on Sunday.

In game 1 on Saturday, (U-13) YWAM Valencia dropped Mountain View Revolution, 2-0, with Zylin Flowers (9’ & 19’) scoring both goals for YWAM. Game 2 (U-13) saw Spanish Lookout edging Bandits, 3-2, with goals from Abraham Heavener (14’), Max Barkman (17’) and Warren Dyck (42’); while Bandits goals were by Amir Briceno (13’) and Andre Craig (20’). Game 3 was the first U-15 semifinal, and it was Piccini Rising Stars with the 4-1 win over Bandits. Daijon Daniels (12’, 15’, 25’ & 27’) struck for all 4 goals for Rising Stars; while Raijed Reyes (46’) got the lone goal for Bandits. And in game 4, (U-15) Armenia FC and Mountain View Revolution played to a 1-1 draw. Antwone Baptist (28’) put Mountain View in front, but Fredrick Samayoa (45’) knotted it up for Armenia.

In the U-17 semifinal opener on Sunday, Mountain View Revolution clipped San Martin Medina, 2-1, with a goal each from Tahj Reid (16’) and Andy Umana (48’), while Wilson Garcia (21’) scored for San Martin. And in game 2, (U-17) it was Bandits, 3-1, over Piccini Rising Stars. Wilfredo Galvez (13’), William Portillo (14’) and Hollis Popper (29’) shook the net for Bandits; while Joshawn Flowers (21’) got the consolation goal for Rising Stars.

The 2nd round of the semifinals comes up this weekend:
Saturday, December 2

11:00 a.m. – (U-13) YWAM Valencia vs Mountain View Revolution
12:30 p.m. – (U-15) Armenia FC vs Mountain View Revolution
2:00 p.m. – (U-15) Bandits vs Piccini Rising Stars
Sunday, December 3
10:00 a.m. – (U-17) Bandits vs Piccini Rising Stars
