BELIZE CITY, Mon. Jan. 25, 2016–Baron Bliss Harbour Regatta Committee hereby confirms Sunday, March 6, 2016 for the 88th Baron Bliss Regatta. The regatta will be staged in the Belize City Harbour in front of the BTL Park, New Town Barracks, the first race commencing at 9:00 a.m. The regatta is open to all sail boat classes on the traditional triangular course. Race brief will be at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 4, at the Belize Ex-Services Headquarters. Representatives of clubs and boat owners are invited to attend.
At the request of the Belize Sailing Association, there will be a series of “one design” class races, commencing at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, on the International Optimist Trapezoid Course.
The Committee for the 88th Regatta will meet every Monday in February at 5:30 p.m. at the Bliss Institute, Belize City, to finalize planning. All boat owners/enthusiasts are invited to attend.
Registration to confirm a prize or trophy closes on February 12.
