Dr. Mario Estradabran was called to the scene, and Goodin?s body was removed from the beam. An on-scene post-mortem was conducted on his body, and according to Estradabran, he had been dead for about three to four days. The post-mortem confirmed that he died from asphyxia due to hanging. Police say that on Monday, Goodin?s ex-common-law wife, a resident of Ladyville, alleged to them that he had beaten her up that day. Police went looking for Goodin, but he was nowhere to be found. When police visited his father?s home in Ladyville, he told police that he did not know where his son was. Goodin was never located by police until Friday, when they found him hanging from the beam, dead. However, Goodin?s sister, Paulina Goodin of Belize City, with whom Amandala spoke yesterday, said that someone must have killed her brother, because she understood that he had collected about $3,000.00 for a house that he had completed a few days ago, and that the money was nowhere to be found. Paulina also said that she was not aware that her brother had any domestic problems with his wife, because when she had spoken with her, the wife had shared no such problems. Her brother had reasons not to kill himself, said Paulina, because he was very close to his children and visited them often. Goodin was the father of three children from his past relationship, ranging in age from one year to three years. He had separated from the children?s mother about three months ago. The abandoned house where Goodin was found hanging was a house where the family once lived, which belonged to his grandfather.
