A family is hurting after their loved one was brutally stabbed in the vicinity of Central American Boulevard sometime after 9:30 last night. He now remains in a critical condition at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.
Leon Hinds, 31, was stabbed in the throat, ribs and chest near 88 Shopping Center. The family was informed of the incident and they called the hospital inquiring about Hinds’ condition. On a scale of 1- 5, 5 being the highest, the family was told that he was at 4.5, critical.
Leon has since undergone an operation last night. We were told he suffered a punctured lung and an artery in the throat was broken.
This morning, Hinds continues to fight for his life. We were told he is now breathing on his own and the family says they have been able to communicate with him. His older sister told the media they have used signs such as the blinking of the eye to communicate with him. He has responded to the signs and reportedly has also revealed who stabbed him.
Police are yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
