GeneralAlex Guzman’s body found in Yalbac Hills

Yalbac Hills, Spanish Lookout, Thurs. May 6, 2021– Armenian resident, thirty-two-year-old Alex Guzman, who was last seen walking in the Spanish Lookout area on Saturday morning, May 1, was found dead in the Yalbac Hills area of Spanish Lookout.

On the day of his disappearance, Guzman had allegedly been drinking at a campsite. He later wandered off, leaving his vehicle behind. Four days after his disappearance, a search team of relatives and friends of his scavenged the area, and to their utter dismay, they found the lifeless body of Guzman in the Yalbac Hills area.

The cause of Guzman’s death remains unknown. His family awaits a postmortem on his body to determine the cause of his death. His family does not suspect that any foul play was involved. Guzman was a tour guide by profession. In an interview with News5, Antonio Samayoa, nephew of the deceased Guzman, said, “[He was] very skilled. He even had training in survival, so these skills kept our hopes high, thinking that these skills would kick in and he would be able to survive, but unfortunately he didn’t.”

An investigation into his death is still ongoing, as the Police Department and Guzman’s family await the results of a post-mortem exam.
