BELIZE CITY, Mon. Dec. 3, 2018– Just before the start of the bi-weekly police press brief at the Raccoon Street Police Station, a man was fatally shot at the corner of Queen and Handyside Streets. The man was later identified to be Arthur “Tazzy” Flowers, 44.
When police arrived on the scene, they saw Flowers, a laborer with a Handyside Street address, lying on the street, bleeding from the head. Initial investigations revealed that Flowers was standing at the corner of the street at around 3:22 p.m., when a man approached him and fired a single shot. The gunshot hit him in the right side of the temple, and Flowers died at the scene.
It is said that Flowers was a car washer, and the spot where he was standing was the location where he usually washed cars. Reports are that the shooting was also caught on camera.
