Barbarosa, Cool Running and Blessed Kid in a class by themselves

SportsBarbarosa, Cool Running and Blessed Kid in a class by themselves
Last weekend, July 15, brought exciting horse racing at the Castleton Race Track in beautiful Burrell Boom Village. It was a 6-race card.

The first race of the day was the G-CLASS, going 3 furlongs. Lightburn’s Black Hawk, with Carlos on board, finally came through, triumphing over Blondie, while Baby Doll had to settle for the last spot.

The second race of the day was the D-CLASS, going 4 furlongs. Valencia’s Blessed Kid, with the Iceman on board, came from the lower Class and ran over Stuart’s Jada; while Baymen’s Pleasant Moment had to settle for the last spot. His time was the best of the day, coming only a few clicks from the record.

The third race of the day was the C-CLASS, going 5 furlongs. Diamond A’s Looking Freaky, with Basso on board, beat out Alpuche’s Unfinished Business; while Victory’s Sweet Destiny was third, leaving Hugo’s Triple K to grapple for the last spot.

The fourth race of the day was the THOROUGHBRED ALLOWANCE, going 5 furlongs. In a two-horse duel, Victory Stables and new comer Shalifi, with Manuel on board, wasted no time in putting away Diamond A’s King of Kings. Respect Ali Dread, Victor Espat and crew.

The fifth race of the day was the B-CLASS, going 6 furlongs. Glazer’s Cool Running, with the Iceman on board, at the half-way mark of the race wasted no time in putting away a three-horse field. Second was Doug’s Lady Sabrina, while Rodriguez’s Nothing Nice had to settle for the last spot. Respect Glazer and crew.

The sixth and final race of the day was the THOROUGHBRED SPRINT, also going 6 furlongs. In a two-horse field, we knew that Barbarosa was going to be king once more, and so it was. Manuel piloted him easily to win by over ten lengths. Diamond A’s Spirit of God, fresh from a rest, showed nothing, and was blown away by the King. Good work, Mr. Dunker and Chico, for keeping the King always firing. Will someone please bring a horse to beat this dude, or at least give him some competition?

The next meet for Castleton Race Track will be on the 12th August. Jockeys of the day were the Iceman and Manuel, showing two wins apiece. This race still has Carlos in front, but, with six race meets to go, it should be close. It was great doing this, and until next time, I’ll just gallop out of here. See Ya!!!
