In Friday night?s encounter at the City Center in the Cadet (17 and under) division, Team Garnett defeated Team Staine 44-34. Darnell Lord and Leroy Lauriano had 10 points and 9 points respectively in the victory for Team Garnett. For Team Staine, Erlan Ferguson and Izbil Arana scored 11 points each while Francis Usher scored 10 points.


On Sunday, July 16, in the Junior (21 and under) division game at the Civic, Team Armstrong defeated Team Graham 64-49. Greg Rudon scored 18 points, Ludrick Beeks 14 points and Stansmore Bowman put in 11 points all in the big victory for Team Armstrong. In the loss, Lennox Bowman lead all scorers with 21 points.


After a break on Monday, July 17, the BBF/NSC Summer 2006 Youth Tournaments were back in action on Tuesday at the City Center with a sizzler in the Junior (21 and under) level. Team Staine, coached by Mr. Hugh Staine, defeated Team Nunez, coached by Mr. Marshall Nunez, 75-74. Ronald Rivers scored 26 points, Duane Staine scored 15 points and Shane Rosales scored 14 points, as they led Team Staine to victory. For Team Nunez, Troy Williams scored 20 points followed by Ekroy Yorke and Glenroy McDonald with 15 points and 13 points respectively.


In the Cadet (17 and under) division game on Wednesday July 19, at the City Center, basketball fans witnessed the biggest offensive explosion of the tournament so far. Team Tablada coached by Mr. Everal Tablada exploded with a 107-38 victory over Team Blanco Alpha, coached by Kenton Blanco. By the time Ashton Edwards arrived at the City Center, the game was already out of hand. Edwards entered the game around midway through the third quarter and scored an amazing 29 points to lead all the scorers. G. Chimilio led the scoring for Team Alpha Blanco with 13 points in the losing effort.
