GeneralBTL Chair declares 49 cents dividend!

BELIZE CITY, Thurs. Sept. 30, 2021– Chairman of the Board of Belize Telemedia Limited, Mark Lizarraga, in his message to shareholders in the company’s annual report, 2020-2021, said that despite nearly “$29M or 17% decline in our revenues” because of the challenging times, and while still “maintaining contributions to our social commitments through this unprecedented year”, BTL was “able to turn a net profit of some 605% increase” over last year.

Lizarraga said BTL remains Belize’s number one corporate citizen, with the company contributing over $1M to COVID-19 initiatives in 2020. The government and people of Belize, who hold majority shares in the company, and hundreds of small shareholders, will be receiving “49 cents for every dollar of dividends declared.” More information on BTL’s Annual Report, and its AGM, will be provided in the next edition of the newspaper.
