Caye Caulker teen’s head fatally chopped by boat

GeneralCaye Caulker teen’s head fatally chopped by boat

CAYE CAULKER, Belize District, Thurs. Aug. 6, 2020– Yesterday, Kyle Carrias, 17, a student of Caye Caulker, and others were traveling in a boat off the coast of Caye Caulker and he was sitting in the rear of the boat when he reportedly got up, and that was when another boat passed by, causing large waves, and he was thrown off balance and he fell overboard.

Somehow, the propeller of the outboard engine cut him in the head. The boat was quickly stopped and Carrias was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where he was admitted in a critical condition. He died shortly after due to the massive injury.

An investigation has begun into the tragedy.
