DANGRIGA, Stann Creek District, Wed. June 5, 2019– The Stann Creek Football Association (SCFA) continued its Dangriga Mayor’s Cup 2019 Tournament over the weekend with 2 games each on Friday and Sunday in Week 16 of the tournament at the Carl Ramos Stadium.

In Friday’s opener, Dangriga Young Footballers Academy (DYFA) dropped Iderei (DYS), 5-nil, with goals from Lionel Thompson (22’ & 56’), Travez Reynolds (34’) and Jose Martinez (51’ & 65’). And in the nightcap, Conquerors recorded a 3-0 win over Hopkins Ibayani with a goal apiece from Gilbert Swazo, Jr. (2’), Elroy Kuylen, Jr. (34’) and Ryan Saravia (76’).

In game 1 on Sunday, Young General (YG) bombed Ecumenical High School, 9-2, with goals from Andres Makin, Jr. (19’, 44’ & 86’), Byron Chavez (29’), Cleron Cacho (65’), Myrick Marshall, Jr. (67’, 76’ & 81’) and Fredrick Flores (88’); while Ecumenical got a goal each from Christopher Rodriguez (38’) and Warren Moss (80’). And in game 2, Silk Grass SG Ballers prevailed, 4-1, over Hope Creek Pumas. Netting a goal apiece for SG Ballers were Kenyon Lewis (62’), Carlos Medina (63’), Raheem Swazo (73’) and Erickson Clark (88’); while Elroy Smith, Jr. (52’) scored for Hope Creek.

Below are current standings for the two groups.  The top 4 teams from each group will advance to the playoff round. We have one more weekend of regular season games to play after this weekend.
