T.V. Ramos Cycling Classic on Sunday

This Sunday, November 17, will be the Annual T.V. Ramos Cycling Classic, which is also an event for the Garifuna Settlement Day celebrations. This race will be conducted and officiated by the Weekend Warriors cycle crew from Belize City. If you don’t register along with the Weekend Warriors, you cannot ride this race on Sunday.

The T.V. Ramos Cycling Classic this Sunday will be in 3 categories – A, B and C.

The “A” riders are going to Placencia junction and back, which is a total of 56 miles.

The “B” riders are going to Maya Centre and back, which is a total of 32 miles.

The “C” riders, which is the category that the Dangriga riders will take part in, will be going to Hopkins junction and back, for a total of 32 miles.

This race will start (and also finish) from in front of T.V. Ramos residence on Commerce Street, across from Epworth Methodist School, at 10:30 a.m.

Registration per rider is only $10.00.

There will be first, second and third place cash prizes for each category along with trophies, and station prizes will be provided going and coming throughout this race.

Once again, the 2013 T.V. Ramos Classic is in the Weekend Warriors’ hands. They are controlling everything on Sunday in Dangriga. This is the biggest race to ever hit Dangriga.

Just a correction – the defending champion from last year was Allen Castillo from Belmopan, and not Marlon Castillo.
