BDF home games on Saturday

The BDF football club will still play their home games on Saturday nights in Dangriga. They won’t change it any more to Sunday evening (as recently suggested in some quarters). It’s still Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. at the Carl Ramos Stadium for all home games.

SCFA 1st Division Week 2 results

The Stann Creek Football Association (SCFA) 1st Division Tournament 2013 continued with Week 2 games on Friday and Sunday, September 20 & 22, at the Carl Ramos Stadium.

In game 1 on Friday, Southside FC dropped Wagiya U-17, 4-1, with goals from Lennox Mejia (41’ & 71’), Harold Nunez (52’) and Edwin Nasario (76’). Wagiya’s only goal was by Melvin Valerio (23’). Game 2 saw Hopkins FC and Silk Grass FC playing to a 3-3 stalemate. Nol Arnold (20’), Tony Avila (44’) and Wayne Casimiro (90’) shook the net for Hopkins; while Luis Reyes (23’ & 30’) and Francis Russell (83’) hit the target for Silk Grass.

In the opener on Sunday, it was New Site FC, 5-2, over Redbank Napoli, Ian Lewis (14’ & 33’), Carlos Lino (69’), Frank Orrego (78’) and Hasaan Lucas (91’) doing the scoring for New Site; while Oliverio Coc (56’) and Kevin Fernandez (58’) scored for Redbank Napoli. And in the nightcap, Northside United clipped Umadagu U-17, 3-2, with goals from Byron Chavez (22’), Shanty Castillo (24’) and Darwin Castillo (67’); while Umadagu got a goal apiece from Sherwin Lambey (14’) and Earl Cacho (53’).
