BELIZE CITY, Fri. Dec. 1, 2017– Dangriga’s Demille Flores, 14, has been invited to attend the Rush Select Program at the Presidents’ Day Tournament as one of the top 16 Rush players in his age group. Demille had participated last month in the Rush Select 2004/2005 Boys ID Camp, an event for 60 boys and 60 girls of the U13 – U15 age groups, where the Rush Select staff trained and evaluated them. The Rush Select Technical Staff selected him based on nominations from Rush Technical Directors there.

The Presidents’ Day Tournament is a college showcase tournament February 15 – 19, 2018 in Phoenix, Arizona.

The Rush Select Program is the elite program in Rush Soccer, bringing together the top players from Rush clubs around North America and the Caribbean to compete. It began in 2004 when players from Virginia Rush, Colorado Rush, and Rush Pikes Peak played in the US Club National Soccer Tournament, where they won a National Championship.

Since 2004, it has expanded to 22 teams, ages U13 – U18. The Rush Select Program Technical Staff includes many of the top coaches from Rush clubs across the United States.

Technical Directors at every Rush club submit nominations to the Rush Select Program each summer for players they feel are deserving of being considered for selection by Rush Select staff.

The College showcase tournament in Phoenix, Arizona attracts 100s of college coaches each year, and features top level competition against club teams from around the country.
