Who would want to take their own life when it?s only just beginning? Is life so cheap, and getting cheaper daily? Do we value life to the fullest? These are only a few questions that fill my mind and sometimes confuse me, because here I am fighting a constant battle daily, but the last thing I?d like to do is die soon or even worse, to take my life. It?s so very incredible to see such a robust youth with a hopeful future and to believe he?s done such a thing. I don?t think so. Someone or something must be the cause.

My most sincere gratitude goes out to all those people who responded positively to my letter soliciting assistance, and I hope that they enjoyed reading my book of poems. I?ve received a lot of telephone calls and letters which have lifted my spirits and helped me to continue having a positive outlook towards life. The main idea is the real meaning and the message I want to send out.

To all those people at home and abroad who bought a copy of my book, I can assure them that their contribution will go a very long way. I still have a few copies, and if anyone is interested they can get one at INK supplies or A&R store in Corozal Town for a small contribution of $10.00.

If you?ve received a book and letter in the mail and haven?t responded, I?d like to inform you that it?s never too late and I?d like to share this beautiful prayer with all my sponsors and contributors: Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there?s hatred, let me sow love; where there?s injury, pardon; where there?s doubt, faith; where there?s despair, hope; where there?s darkness, light; and where there?s sadness, joy. O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.

Once more my sympathy goes out to the families of youth who are becoming ill on a regular basis, most of them with chronic diseases. To those youth who have died and continue to die due to lack of assistance, it?s a pity. I know that they are not ready since I believe that no one wants to die, especially at a very young age. I believe that this is a wake-up call for the world and God wants us to heed His call and stop taking things for granted.

Thanks once more and may God richly bless you.

Thanks,

Darrion Middleton
