Dian Vasquez named new CTO

BELMOPAN, Tues. May 18, 2021– The Ministry of Public Utilities, Energy and Logistics has announced that Ms. Dian Vasquez, a Cayo resident, was appointed to be the Chief Transport Officer in the Department of Transport. The position was previously held by Tirsio Galvez, who retired earlier this year.

Vasquez holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and a Master’s degree in Diplomacy and Environmental Management and Development from Australian National University and is experienced in policy planning, research and management.

In the press release issued by the Ministry of Public Utilities, Energy and Logistics, Hon. Rodwell Ferguson and Chief Executive Officer Marconi Leal, Jr., each expressed their confidence in Vasquez’s ability to carry out the critical functions that are assigned to the country’s Chief Transport Officer.
