ST. MATTHEWS, Cayo District, Tues. Feb. 11, 2020– Edwin Rodriguez, 18, a farmer of St. Matthews, lost his life on Friday afternoon after being involved in a traffic accident that occurred while he was traveling on his motorcycle on the George Price Highway.

Rodriguez had left the farm where he was working, and was going home when he collided with another motorcycle that was coming from the opposite direction.

Rodriguez suffered massive head and body injuries and was rushed in a critical condition to the Western Regional Hospital, where he died shortly after.

The rider of the other motorcycle was also injured and was taken to the hospital, where he was treated and released.

Edwin’s father, Agraz Rodriguez, said that they were waiting for him to come home, but he never came, and they were later informed that he was involved in a traffic collision. By the time he went to the hospital, his son was already dead.

The devastated father said that his son was humble and was always there helping them, and now he is gone. He will miss him dearly, said Agraz.
