So, I don?t know much about drug use ? except that people who use it and sell it are responsible for human misery. I do know that, as there are 28 grams to an ounce, the amount of weed Mr. Garnett had was 14 ounces! Mr. G. had a whole lot of weed there! Are we to believe he was not going to sell it to others? Are we to believe he will not raise the money to pay his $3,000.00 fine by further trafficking? Are we to believe that his consideration is for his grandmother?s welfare? If so, why did he allow her to be arrested and spend a night in jail? Why did he not be a man and take the blame when apprehended?

I doubt it is Mr. G. who cares for his grandmother. I will bet his grandmother takes care of him. Grandmother, I pray for you. Please do not feel shame. This is not your doing. Also, I pray for Belize. As long as trafficking is condoned by allowing dealers to buy their way out, we will continue to have grannies abused, children neglected, society disrupted by drug abuse and its aftermath. It is to weep!
