The duo is accused of trying to burglarize the business place of Rufus X

This morning, Estelle Rhaburn, 57, and Patrick Thomas, 34, were arraigned on a single charge each of attempted burglary when they appeared before Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith.

According to a report, on November 23, 2013, Rufus X went to his business place located at the corner of La Croix Boulevard and Crown Street, and saw Rhaburn, a resident of La Croix Boulevard, and Thomas, a plumber of Sandhill, standing on the verandah of his building and contacted the police.

The two pleaded not guilty to the charge and were offered bail of $500 and one surety of the same amount. The conditions of the bail are that they report to the Queen Street Police Station every Tuesday between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., and that they make no contact with Rufus X.

They are scheduled to appear back in court on January 15, 2014.
