In second half play San Cas was able to keep pace with YEC, trading baskets as they both scored 15 points apiece. But San Cas were unable to cut into the lead and consequently wound up losing by the score of 41-29. YEC/NDFB was led by Carlton Young?s 11 pts/11 rebounds and Emory Bennett?s 12 pts/8 rebs. As an indication of the miserable night that San Cas fans had to endure, none of their players were able to score in double figures. Their top scorers, Leroy Trapp and Ivan Olivera, could only manage 7 points apiece. They will have to go back to the drawing board and prepare for their next game, which is scheduled for May 15 against Advance Advertising. Meanwhile YEC/NDFB will have to do major preparation for their big match-up against last year?s semi-finalists, Police Department.
