BELIZE CITY, Tues. Apr. 20, 2021– The family of 33-year-old Herwin Godoy is making funeral arrangements after his body was recovered from the river in Grace Bank, where he drowned on Sunday, April 18.
The family said that finding Godoy’s body has given them the closure that they needed. They said that his body was found on Tuesday morning, in a net that was set about 100 yards from the spot in the river where he sank below the surface.
The family has been searching for him since Sunday, when he sank under the water’s surface, while attempting to cross the river, and never re-emerged from the water.
