SAN PEDRO, Ambergris Caye, Belize District, Fri. Sept. 14, 2018– Dorla Morales, 28, a housekeeper of San Pedrito, San Pedro, is in police custody after she was busted with 3,277 grams (7.22 pounds) of cannabis at about 9:30 this morning during a random search that was conducted on her at a boat dock in San Pedrito.

Morales was immediately arrested and charged with drug trafficking. She has been detained pending arraignment at the San Pedro Magistrate’s Court.

Information to us is that police were conducting an anti-drug operation this morning when they saw Moralez at the dock carrying a bag, and the bag was searched. Inside that bag, the officers found four packs of compressed weed.
