A Ladyville woman who was arraigned last September along with her boyfriend on sexually related charges for an incident involving a 14-year-old minor, was additionally charged today with abetment to carnal knowledge, in relation to the same incident.
Stacy Leslie, 27, an unemployed resident of 5 Myrtle Wade Crescent, Ladyville, at 10:00 a.m., was escorted by police into the courtroom of Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer.
Leslie, who has been released on bail, was recently re-arrested and charged with an additional offense: abetment to commit carnal knowledge upon a 14-year-old girl.
Leslie was not required to enter a plea. Frazer explained to her that the offense for which she was being charged is indictable, and after a preliminary inquiry is held, if there is sufficient evidence against her, her case would be heard in the Supreme Court.
Since Leslie had been released on bail last September when she was first arraigned on the aggravated assault of an indecent nature charge; she was not required to post a new bail and was released from custody.
Leslie’s boyfriend, John Williams, 30, with whom she resides in Ladyville, was charged with carnal knowledge of the same 14-year-old minor last September, when police arrested them, after the minor and her mother made a report to police.
The incident reportedly occurred on September 17, 2013. On that date, according to a report made to Ladyville police by the minor, who was accompanied by her mother, on Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at about 12:00 p.m., the girl was walking in the Hollywood area of Ladyville when Williams, someone she told police that she knew, stopped beside her in his car and invited her inside.
According to the minor, she met a slimly built female on the passenger seat who introduced herself to her as one Stacy Leslie, Williams’ girlfriend.
The minor told police that all three of them then travelled to Cayo in Williams’ car, and when they returned, Williams drove to his home in Ladyville.
While at the couple’s home, she told police, she was given marijuana to smoke and then she was sexually assaulted.
The minor alleged that Leslie held her down while her boyfriend raped her and after that, he performed oral sex on her.
The doctor who examined the minor certified that she had been carnally known, and her injury was classified as grievous harm.
