Launch of Regional Mental Health Fair

BELMOPAN, Mon. May 3, 2021– From May 3 to May 8, the Institute of Mexicans Abroad and the Mexican Secretariat of Foreign Affairs will host the first ever Virtual Mental Health Fair for Latin America and the Caribbean.

The fair will provide a forum for the discussion of mental health and self-care in the Latin American and Caribbean region. The virtual sessions of the Mental Health Fair will be broadcasted live in Spanish and will be available to interested parties via the Embassy of Mexico’s social media accounts, namely their Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts. The panel of speakers will include representatives of prestigious Mexican academic and medico-psychosocial institutions like National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico and Psychiatry, and mental healthcare professionals from the Mexican Secretariat of Health.
