In the wee hours of Saturday morning, a group of men who are tenants at a West Landivar apartment were playing a game of dominoes when one tenant stabbed another to death in a fit of anger.
According to reports, an altercation occurred at around 3:00 a.m. on Saturday (while the curfew was ongoing) at an apartment on Campus Avenue, where a group of men who reside at the apartment were socializing and playing dominoes. One of the men who was involved in the altercation, Shane Bradley, a boat captain, reportedly began to behave in a disorderly manner, and was forced to leave the premises. He later returned with a knife, however, and inflicted fatal stab wounds to one of the men — 24-year-old mechanic, Edward Westby.
Westby was subsequently rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Bradley was immediately detained, arrested, and charged for murder. Police have since recovered a knife that is believed to be the murder weapon.
