COROZAL TOWN, Thurs. Oct. 8, 2015–A 54-year-old man who sexually assaulted his 77-year-old mother-in-law, who is confined to a wheelchair, has been remanded to the Belize Central Prison until January 21, 2016 on charges of sexual assault and harm of the invalid woman.

        The woman reported that on the morning of October 1, she was in her yard, in her wheelchair, when her son-in-law came up and wheeled her into the house, where he fondled her private parts and fondled her breast.

       Police promptly arrested the son-in-law and charged him with the offenses. Today, he was taken to the Corozal Magistrate’s Court, where he was arraigned on the offenses before being remanded.
