No arrest yet for Niccanor Fermin’s murder

GeneralNo arrest yet for Niccanor Fermin’s murder

Belize City, Mon. Sept. 27, 2021– Last week, the body of Niccanor Fermin, a 15-year-old Belize City resident, was found in the Vista Del Mar area of Ladyville. The teen had been shot to death. He was last seen at his home in Belize City. It is uncertain how he ended up in an area at the corner of Blue Marlin Drive and Angel Fish Avenue, where, it is being presumed, he met his demise.

While there is speculation that the occupants of a black SUV, which was seen in the area just before the discovery of the body, are the persons responsible for Fermin’s death, no arrests have been made as yet.

It has been reported that Fermin’s mother had been trying to send him overseas — due perhaps to fear that her son would be killed. It is being speculated that the murder of the teen was gang-related, but police continue to investigate.
