A 19-year-old woman, who he allegedly had been attempting to rape, ran out of the yard just in time to stop a police mobile patrol that was passing by. Castillo first appeared in the #1 Magistrate?s Court on Monday, October 25, but the Chief Magistrate, Herbert Lord, did not read the charges to him because there were cuts and bruises on his face. Castillo reportedly suffered the cuts and bruises when he was beaten by inmates while in the holding cell, also known as the ?pisshouse,? located at the Queen Street Police Station.
