The National Sports Council (NSC) 2022 Sports Competition for Recreation and Wellness Basketball Tournament, which tipped off on March 18, continued with Week 4 games on Friday, April 22, at the Marion Jones Sports Complex in Belize City. There are 12 teams in the tournament, 6 in Group A and 6 in Group B; and the only condition for player eligibility is that the person must be working at the place that the team represents. Another stipulation for this tournament is that no merging of companies/ departments was allowed.
Below are the results from the 3 Group-B games played on Friday night, April 22: National Sports Council “Valley” defeated Central Bank, 77-38. NSC “Valley” – Elvis Olivera 15 pts; Central Bank – Leon Lord 12 pts.
Bowen & Bowen “Belikin Bruwers” defeated Department of Youth Services, 57- 49. B&B “Belikin Bruwers”
– Everal Tablada 18 pts; Dept. of Youth Services – Raheem Thurton 22 pts. BWS defeated KHMH “Injectors”, 57-48. BWS – Alejandro Baptist 18 pts; KHMH “Injectors” – Karl Smith 23 pts.
