Police search for abductor of 12-year-old girl

CrimePolice search for abductor of 12-year-old girl

Tonight, Orange Walk police and the family of a missing 12-year-old Orange Walk girl are glad to report that she has been found and returned safely home to her family.

However, tonight the case has not closed because the police are now searching for a 23-year-old man, identified as Nicholas Garcia Keme, a resident of Orange Walk, in whose company the child was.

The child had been reported missing by her mother on Monday, November 27, but yesterday, police say that a search of a home in the area led to her discovery.

According to police, when Keme spotted them, he ran off into the nearby area.

Police are searching for him, and upon his arrest, he is likely to face charges of abduction and indecent assault, they say.

According to police, Keme tried to have sex with the child twice, but was unsuccessful. A medical examination conducted on the child has certified that her hymen is intact.
