Police seek scurvy father and stepfather

CrimePolice seek scurvy father and stepfather

COROZAL—Police are on the hunt for the father of a girl, 10, after he fondled her private parts, while the search is also on for the stepfather of a girl, 11, after he touched her breast. The two men are on the run.

The two girls were assaulted in separate incidents in their homes in Copper Bank and San Joaquin, in the Corozal District, on Friday and Saturday respectively.

The 10-year-old girl and her guardian went to the Corozal police on Saturday and reported that at about 8:00 Friday night, she was at home along with her father. She was lying in her hammock in the living room and had begun to fall asleep when she felt someone touching her vagina.

She opened her eyes and saw that it was her father, she told police.

He then took her out of the hammock, but she fought him off and walked into her room.

Her father then grabbed her and took her to his room, put her on his bed and climbed on top of her. The girl said she managed to push him off her. She then jumped out of the bed and ran out of the house to her neighbor for help.

When police went to the house, the girl’s father had already run away.

Then, at about 6:30 Saturday evening, an 11-year-old girl of San Joaquin was at home alone with her stepfather, and while she was closing up the kitchen windows, her stepfather grabbed her from behind and started to fondle her breasts, then he pulled her to his room and put her on the bed.

He then lifted up her blouse and started to fondle her breasts again. He later released her, and she sprang out of the bed and ran out of the house, to her grandmother’s house, for rescue.

Police went to the home, but the stepfather had already run away.

The girl was taken to the doctor, where she was examined and her injury classified as harm. Corozal police are now looking for the stepfather.
