She was also actively involved in the founding and development of the St. Joseph Church. She was the mother of Minister of Works, Hon. Jose Coye. Mrs. Coye is pre-deceased by her parents, Oliver Cromwell Hyde and Elfreida Beeks Hyde; her husband, Joseph Coye; and her grandson, Kevin Coye. She is survived by her sister, Carrie Hyde Vernon; six children – Ernest Coye, Isolene Locke, Josephine Young, Marceline ?Mechie? Coye, Arturo and Jose Coye, and a host of other relatives and friends. Arrangements for the wake and funeral of the late Rhoda Hyde Coye will be announced at a later date.
