BELIZE CITY, Thurs. May 31, 2018– On Sunday, May 27, at the Lucky Strike Village football field, Week 2 games were held in the Belize Rural North Football Tournament for the Edmund “Clear the Land” Castro Cup 2018.

In the U-16 opener, Maskall Youths edged Sandhill Youths, 2-1, with all goals being scored by Maskall players.  Maskall’s Trent Humes (11’ OG) scored an own goal, while Elijah Gillett (25’) and Antoine Banks (38’) got a goal each for Maskall.

Game 2, in the Senior category, saw RG City Boys dropping Maskall United, 4-1, with goals from Dalton Cayetano (29’ & 36’), Keron Patnett (74’) and Kareem Flowers (83’); while Damion Castro (59’) scored for Maskall.

In game 3, another Senior encounter, Corozalito Untouchables beat Sports Education, 3-1, on goals by Clinton Gill (65’), Tyrell Estrada (35’) and Michael Rivas (76’); while Sports Education’s lone goal was by Deon Flowers (71’).

In game 4, another Senior match, Boom Arsenal bombed Sandhill New Site, 6-1, with 4 goals from Eugene Henderson (6’, 16’, 77’ & 82’), Lincoln Jones (64’) and Mario Rivera (69’); while Sandhill’s goal was by Denmark Casimiro (74’).

11:30 a.m. – (Sr.) Lake Rising Stars vs Sandhill New Site Warriors

3:30 p.m. – (Sr.) Lucky Strike FC vs Triple “L” Strikers (Lucky Strike)

Food, drinks & music from 10:00 a.m.

Entrance fee:  Adults – $3.00; Kids – FREE!
