Michael?s? Julia Hinds top scored with 8 points, followed by Clarencia Jones with 7. For SCA, it was Bianca McFadzean with 13 points and Tanisha Miranda with 8.


St. Michael?s? Tanisha James won the girls Most Valuable Player award, while Densmore Edwards, also of St. Michael?s, won the boys MVP title.


For the first time in history, Saint Michael?s College girls and boys team have made it to the finals. They will be representing the Central Division this weekend, December 17 and 18, at the national high school basketball championships at People?s Stadium in Orange Walk. The competition is hosted by Muffles College.


The participating teams are: Orange Walk Technical High School male and female teams (North); St. Michael?s College male and female teams (Central); Mopan Technical High School male and female teams (West); Toledo Community College team (South); and Delille Academy male team (Stann Creek).
