Dear Editor,
In your editorial dated Wednesday, October 10, where you state “Belize has not only been attracting huge (emphasis mine) quantities of sex deviates and pedophiles, etc;” I’m made to wonder why I don’t read about this influx in your newspaper.
What I do read about, sadly and with alarming regularity—in practically every issue—is the steady drumbeat of indigenous Belizean people arrested for crimes against minors, the definition of pedophilia. It would seem to me that you go a bit over the cliff here and that sex crimes in Belize are, reprehensibly, a Belizean thing.
